Knightingale
began singing at the age of 16 in a school band, and later in
local clubs. A few years later she signed with Pye records and
recorded a few unsuccessful songs. After numerous roles in such
stage shows as Hair,1970, Jesus christ Superstar, Godspell and
a London comedy called Savages, she started to do some studio
singing, whereupon she met writers Pierre Tubbs and Vince Edwards
and recorded their song, : "Right Back Where We Started From".
Maxine is currently performing her 70s hits and singing in a most
popular UK Jazz band. She is beautiful, dynamic with high energy,
and still has a wonderfully powerful voice.
